Bachelor of Information Systems
S.KomThe Bachelor of Information Systems Study Program at Universitas Batam is an academic programme under the Faculty of Engineering. The programme is dedicated to developing graduates with competencies in the analysis, design, and management of information systems, with a particular emphasis on leveraging the maritime potential of archipelagic regions. The Information Systems Study Program at Universitas Batam upholds the values of Integrity, Innovation, Collaboration, Maritime Awareness, and Technological Excellence.
Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering
S.TThe Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Study Program is one of the academic programmes under the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Batam. The establishment of the programme was motivated by the need to anticipate and respond to the rapid advancement of science and technology in the field of Mechanical Engineering. The programme was established concurrently with the founding of Universitas Batam under the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education, Ministry of National Education, No. 58/D/O/2000.
Bachelor of Electrical Engineering
S.TThe Bachelor of Electrical Engineering Study Program is one of the academic programmes under the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Batam. The programme was established under the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education, Ministry of National Education, No. 58/D/O/2000 in response to the rapid advancement of science and technology in the field of Electrical Engineering. In fulfilling the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, the programme delivers education, research, and Community Service through a curriculum based on Outcome-Based Education (OBE), the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI), and the National Standards for Higher Education (SN-Dikti), while also supporting the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) policy. The curriculum is systematically developed through continuous self-evaluation, graduate tracer studies, and stakeholder feedback to ensure the development of graduates who are professionally competent, adaptable to technological advancements, academically accomplished, and well prepared to compete in the global workforce.
Bachelor of Civil Engineering
S.TThe Bachelor of Civil Engineering Study Program at Universitas Batam is one of the pioneering academic programmes within the Faculty of Engineering, established in 2000 concurrently with the founding of Universitas Batam. Since its establishment, the programme has remained committed to delivering high-quality engineering education while contributing to the advancement of Indonesia's construction and infrastructure sectors. In response to the increasingly complex and interdisciplinary challenges facing civil engineering—particularly those related to sustainable development, infrastructure resilience, and quality assurance—the programme prepares future civil engineers to become adaptive, innovative, and professionally competent in addressing contemporary engineering issues and future societal needs. To ensure the relevance and quality of its academic offerings, the programme continuously reviews and develops its curriculum based on the principles of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI). The curriculum is designed to equip graduates with comprehensive engineering knowledge, practical skills, problem-solving abilities, and professional competencies that align with the evolving needs of industry and society. Through a learner-centred educational approach and strong engagement with students, academic staff, industry partners, and other stakeholders, the Bachelor of Civil Engineering Study Program strives to produce graduates who are work-ready, ethically responsible, and capable of contributing to sustainable infrastructure development at both the national and international levels.
Master of Regional Planning
M.PWKThe Master of Regional Planning Study Program (MPW) at Universitas Batam was established to address the challenges of urban and regional development in Batam City and the Riau Islands Province. The programme was officially inaugurated on 31 January 2020 under the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Batam. Following a comprehensive development process, the programme became the first Master of Regional Planning programme in the Riau Islands Province, focusing on regional spatial planning, local wisdom, and maritime development. The programme is supported by academic staff holding doctoral degrees in Regional Planning from the University of North Sumatra (USU) and by the strong commitment of the Griya Husada Batam Foundation to the advancement of higher education. At the time of its establishment, the Master of Regional Planning Study Program at Universitas Batam was the first and only Master's programme in Regional Planning in the Riau Islands Province.
