Description
The Bachelor of Psychology Study Program at Universitas Batam is an undergraduate programme under the Faculty of Health Sciences that is committed to producing graduates who are intellectually capable, independent, ethical, culturally aware, and entrepreneurial, enabling them to compete at the regional, national, and international levels. Situated in the strategic environment of Batam City, a major industrial hub with a multicultural society, the Study Program is designed to address the growing demand for professionals who possess a sound understanding of human behaviour, organisational dynamics, mental health, education, and community empowerment.Through education, research, Community Service, the development of competencies in psychological assessment, counselling, and professional skills founded on ethical principles, graduates are prepared to pursue careers as assistant psychologists, human resource practitioners, psychology consultancy staff, counsellors, research assistants, training facilitators, psychological test administrators, and entrepreneurs in the field of human development.

To provide effective education and academic guidance that develops Psychology graduates with intellectual competence, integrity, independence, cultural awareness, and an entrepreneurial mindset.
To promote research that enriches teaching, learning, and the advancement of psychological science.
To implement development initiatives and Community Service programmes that contribute to the application of psychology for the benefit of society.
To advance expertise in psychological assessment and testing to strengthen education and professional practice in Psychology.
To continuously improve the quality of academic and professional support staff in order to produce highly competent graduates who meet the evolving needs of stakeholders.
Objective
The Bachelor of Psychology Study Program at Universitas Batam aims to provide high-quality psychology education that prepares graduates who are capable of understanding, analysing, and proposing solutions to various issues of human behaviour in a scientific, ethical, and responsible manner.
Through the strengthening of academic competence, research, psychological assessment, professional communication, basic counselling, human resource development, and Community Service, the Study Program is committed to producing Bachelor of Psychology graduates who are adaptable to the evolving needs of society and the workplace, responsive to mental health issues and social challenges, and capable of developing their own potential and that of their communities in a creative, independent, and humane manner.
