Description

The history of Universitas Batam began with the establishment of nursing education through the Griya Husada Batam Academy of Nursing, which was founded on 26 July 1996 under the Decree of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia No. HK.00.06.1.1.313.

In 2006, the Academy was integrated into Universitas Batam as the Diploma III (D-III) in Nursing Study Program. Subsequently, in 2007, the Bachelor of Nursing Study Program was granted official operational approval under Decree No. 3226/D/T/2007.

The Nursing Study Program has become an integral part of the historical development of Universitas Batam and has produced qualified nursing professionals for more than 27 years. In response to national regulations requiring graduates of undergraduate nursing programmes to complete professional nursing education, the Nursing Professional Program (Ners) received official operational approval on 12 June 2017 under Decree No. 315/KPT/I/2017.
