Circumcision as a Community Service Initiative

TBM LAMDA 10 January 2026
1

The Tim Bantuan Medis (TBM) LAMDA organized a free circumcision program for children in the Polsek Sagulung area on January 10, 2026, as part of its commitment to raising awareness of public health and providing meaningful healthcare services to the community.

Circumcision is a medical procedure involving the removal of part of the skin covering the head of the penis. In addition to being practiced for religious and cultural reasons by certain communities, circumcision also offers benefits in maintaining personal hygiene and reproductive health.

The activity began with participant registration and health examinations, followed by circumcision procedures performed by medical personnel and the medical assistance team, with careful attention to safety and participant comfort. Following the procedure, participants and their parents received education on proper wound care and important considerations during the recovery period.

This circumcision program served not only as a form of healthcare service but also as a tangible contribution by students to community engagement. Through this initiative, TBM LAMDA sought to provide greater access to healthcare services while increasing public education and awareness of the importance of maintaining good health.

The activity was carried out smoothly and received a positive response from the community. It is hoped that similar initiatives can continue to be organized as a reflection of TBM LAMDA’s commitment to caring for the community and contributing to the improvement of public health.

One act of care, one meaningful contribution, and one step toward a healthier community.
