Community Service Program at Alfateh Social Rehabilitation Center

1

The Sadhanamerta Pharmacy Student Association, in collaboration with the Nursing Student Association, organized a social service program at the Alfateh Social Rehabilitation Center in Nongsa on Sunday, December 21, 2025.

The program focused on providing holistic health assistance, personal hygiene education, and psychosocial support for the residents of the rehabilitation center. As part of the health services, the students conducted free health screenings, including cholesterol, blood glucose, uric acid, and blood pressure checks. These services were intended to support early detection and prevention of degenerative diseases among the residents.

In addition to health services, the program included a community service activity to improve the center's environment, fun games, group exercise with the residents, and the distribution of basic necessities and assistance to support the management of the rehabilitation center.

The activity was attended by the Dean and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, as well as the Heads of the Nursing and Pharmacy Study Programs at Universitas Batam. This interdisciplinary collaboration between future pharmacy and nursing professionals aimed to provide inclusive health services while fostering students' empathy, social awareness, and commitment to serving vulnerable communities.

The Community Service Program was carried out as part of HIMAFAR's work program for the odd semester.
