Social Service for People with Mental Health Conditions

The Nursing Student Association of Universitas Batam, in collaboration with the Pharmacy Student Association of Universitas Batam, conducted a Social Service Activity at a mental health care home on December 21, 2025. The activity was organized as a reflection of the students’ commitment to social responsibility, compassion, and humanitarian values toward people living with mental health conditions.

The activity involved a direct visit to the care home, where students had the opportunity to interact and spend meaningful time with its residents. Through this visit, students shared their attention, companionship, and support while fostering a warm and respectful environment for the residents.

The collaboration between the Nursing and Pharmacy Student Associations also demonstrated the importance of cross-disciplinary student collaboration in carrying out social and humanitarian initiatives.

Through this activity, students were encouraged to strengthen their empathy, social awareness, compassion, and solidarity, while gaining meaningful experience in contributing to the community. This initiative reflects Universitas Batam’s commitment to encouraging students to not only excel academically but also actively contribute to society with care and humanity.
