Community Service in Kampung Jabi

The Nursing Student Association of Universitas Batam conducted a Community Service activity in Kampung Jabi on November 15, 2025. The activity carried the theme “Controlled Health, A More Meaningful Life: Prevent Hypertension, Diabetes, and Gout from an Early Stage.”

The activity was carried out as a form of nursing students’ commitment and concern for community health, particularly in raising awareness of the importance of preventing and managing non-communicable diseases.

During the activity, the community received health education on hypertension, diabetes, and gout, including the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle and undergoing regular health check-ups. The educational sessions were designed to help participants better understand the risks of these conditions and the preventive measures that can be taken in daily life.

The Community Service activity in Kampung Jabi represents one of The Nursing Student Association Universitas Batam’s contributions to promoting health awareness within the community. At the same time, the activity provided students with valuable hands-on experience in applying their nursing knowledge and skills directly in a community setting.
