TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE FOR LECTURER ACADEMIC RANK PROPOSALS, ENCOURAGING CAREER ADVANCEMENT AND REAL CONTRIBUTION

Universitas Batam held a Technical Assistance session for Lecturer Academic Rank (Functional Position) Proposals on Friday, April 24, 2026, at Rumengan Hall. The event was attended by university leadership, lecturers from various study programs, and representatives from institutions within Universitas Batam.

Also present at the event were the Head of LLDIKTI Region XVII, Dr. H. Nopriadi, SKM., M.Kes, and a resource person from LLDIKTI, Nurhayati, S.Kom.

The event was officially opened by Vice Rector III, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Chablullah Wibisono, M.M. In his remarks, he stated that this technical assistance activity is expected to help minimize the various challenges faced by lecturers in the process of proposing academic rank promotions. In addition, the event serves as a strategic step to provide clearer, more focused guidance on the mechanisms and requirements for proposing lecturers' functional positions.

He further emphasized that advancing lecturers' academic rank not only impacts individual career development, but also plays an important role in encouraging lecturers' real contributions to society. With improved academic qualifications, lecturers are expected to be able to make a broader impact in the fields of education, research, and community service.

The event included technical material presentations, interactive discussions, and direct consultation sessions between participants and resource persons. Through this activity, Universitas Batam demonstrates its commitment to supporting the improvement of human resource quality and strengthening the role of lecturers as agents of change within society.
